THIS IS TEDDY :)

Teddy is my newest nephew! He was born in July and has an older brother who's 20 months old :)
I just got to see a few pictures of his first real photo session and I don't wanna brag but...I really make some fine nephews! He's so damn charming! And his brother is already jumping and running around like crazy....

Bundle of joy or bundle of trouble? We shall see :) But I just can't wait to see them again.

RECYCLE!.....IT'S FUN!

Today I joined a local youth organization and helped them recycle some paper products. We made our own paper sheets and used them to create a bunch of post cards which will be handed out during an upcoming event they are having this month.
I never imagined it was so easy to make and design your own cards or invitations! You simply shred some paper, put it in a blender with some water, mix it. You may also put some paper glue in the concoction...The decoration is all up to you - you can add flowers, leaves, or other random pieces you have, even glitter or other fun stuff!

ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END...

My vacation ended this week....In fact I worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday……and today was a really hard day! But it was so good having a three-day work week – I think we should always have four-day weekends.

What I did during my vacation?
• I had a mini trip to the beach, spent 4 days there (sleeping till noon and sun tanning till evening). Also managed to sunburn my nose – it’s peeled twice since then!
• I saw a few friends and partied for two nights in a row….something I haven’t done in ages.
• I started reading a new book
• Saw Bridesmaids – this movie is hilarious and I really enjoyed it! Everyone should watch it!
• Saw the last episode of Pretty Little Liars and now waiting for the new season to start. I’m also awaiting the new episodes of Dexter.
• I cooked twice……made blueberry muffins and lasagna. I’m such a good cook!
• Bought a few beauty magazines – so I can lower my self-confidence and realize “you can’t afford half the sh*t they advertise”…..
• Went to the mall, spent some money on skin care products.
• Bleached the ends of my hair so they don’t look so dark and black and flat. I still have half of the lightener left so I might as well do it again cause I have an appointment to cut my hair on Monday anyways…..

Unfortunately the long days spent on the beach are over and I have to switch back to my work mode. This won’t last long J I’m off on Sept 22 for another 11 days of freedom and happiness!

HAVING A LAZY DAY....

Means having lazy hair, lazy outfit and lazy lunch, followed by blog-browsing and sipping coffee...

The sun is so kind and bright and blinding today.....Also, I'm not sure if this is a hair do or a hair don't but it's so comfy and easy (lazy) on a hot day

This chicken soup in a bread bowl I had for lunch was so good that I seriously think I'm addicted now.I can't wait to have another bowl - maybe during my lunch break on Wednesday! I've also tried the broccoli kind which is a really heavy but also amazingly delicious  :)

I'm also planning on making some blueberry muffins this evening!I can't wait to see the mess I'm gonna make in the kitchen...but it will make my day if my muffins turn out to be ... edible.
Now off to watch the last episode of Pretty Little Liars :)

LATEST MALL LOAD

I recently got a few clothing items which will be a part of my fall wardrobe and which I hope will make the summer to fall transition less painful and somewhat enjoyable. And if I’m lucky, the weather will allow us to have a few more sunny and warm weeks through September and October so I can wear my summer dresses. And talking about September, maybe I really should have bought one of those cosy knitted cardigans that I just pretended I didn’t see as they were screaming “Winter time is here!!!”
fitted shirt for work - Pull&Bear , scarf - Tally Weijl , skirt - NewYorker from my previous post
This sweater is from Zara Kids - it fits me really nicely so I got it.Yes, I did feel like a retard buying it but I liked it a lot
Skirt - NewYorker. Love the dots and the zipper on the back of it.
My new favorite basic top - NewYorker. Crazy about polka dot ANYTHING!
Little doll dress with cute lace details.
Lightest shorts ever, really comfy and good for work - NewYorker

These I REALLY DIDN'T NEED but who can resist another and yet another pair of skinny jeans - Zara and Pull&Bear jeggings.

Polka dot :) shirt. With badges! - Bershka
My new favorite dress to wear these days (adding a belt) - Stradivarius.

YOU BELONG TO ME

Following the youtube and blogger craze for mint green and ‘Tiffany’ blue nail polish I can finally say I found my favorite! The perfect Tiffany blue polish is called “You Belong to Me” by Essence. The brand is really affordable and I mean $1-2 for nail polish which is beyond great , considering the quality and the staying power. I had absolutely no problem applying it, this particular color dries to a really nice finish and lasts a good few days. I even skipped top coat!

Now, while searching for “the perfect one” (and finding “You Belong to Me” was a mere accident) I did buy a couple of other greenish colors and I just HAVE to say it : Minted by REVLON is a total regret and the money I spent on it was well lost! It was a pain to apply it and even though I put so much effort into it, it still looked funny and dried to this weird , not so glossy but really dull finish. I do like the color itself , it’s just a bad product.
And another shade of green I got from my favorite Flormar range. It’s really , really good , just more on the bold side but it’s OK cause the same day I got this nail polish, I also happened to buy a tank top which is the exact same color ( I think it’s shown in a picture of a previous post I made ).

Happy Saturday!
